This set pattern is so versatile! I have already made many different variations of the pants and one of the tops. I'd say that this pattern is for the confident beginner (borderline intermediate) because some of the steps aren't very detailed. If you have made a garment before and are familiar with bias binding you should be just fine!

I really liked the pattern, I'm an intermediate beginner and found this to be more of an advanced beginner pattern. It was challenging but fun, my only issue for me is in the instruction images the dress she used as an example is a soild color fabric that looks identical on both the right side and wrong side , so you can't visually see if its inside out or not and at time it was very confusing .. at least for me since i am a more visual person when it comes to following pattern instructions. But overall I really like how it turned out !

Easy to follow pattern and the sweaters turned out great!

This is the third or fourth pattern I’ve bought from Dear Billy and as usual it is very good. Pattern is easy to print and put together and the instructions are clear. Found this set quite simple to make but also challenged me to do something out of my comfort zone (sew buttons and buttonholes) very cute result and quite quick to come together, the top took me around 3/4 hours of sewing and the pants only about an hour.

So obsessed with this sweater, so quick to sew up. It’s super cute 🥹

I love all the patterns I have bought from this seller! This one is soooo adorable I wish they had an adult version so we can do mommy and me photos! The instructions are very clear and easy to follow since I’m a beginner. Even the bias tape is properly sized which I have had issues with other patterns from different sellers bias tape strips being too short but this one was spot on! I definitely will be making more of these for both my daughters!

Very easy to make. I will be making more of these coats, some lighter for warm weather and some heavier for winter for my grandchildren.

I loved this pattern. It whipped up quickly and had easy instructions. I did find that it ran a little big. I made a 5T and it fit more like a 6T, but I used a very light weight fabric that has high stretch. It might be TTS for a thicker weight knit. Overall great and will use many times!

Instructions were clear with clear details and photos to follow along. I had gotten stuck a couple of times but that's a user error as I'm a beginner. Easy to assemble, runs large, easy to sew; I only made the top, and for the bottom I went with a design I had in mind. Dress made in 2 days for the Christmas holidays.

I don't usually take the time to review…but this print at home pattern was absolutely terrible. I thought it was my printer at first, but I reprinted many times and haven't had issues printing patterns in the past….the pattern would not line up nicely no matter what I tried. The pattern itself would be adorable but the pattern is so terrible I won't even be attempting to sew. I'm sure the projector pattern is fine but I do not have the option to use.

I highly suggest to anyone who is looking for a simliar look, but be cautious because it is NOT beginner friendly which, it clearly states. Overall, amazing work on the pattern!

I had never used interfacing, it was my second time doing a project that required gathering, and I could not quite master the button holer on my machine so I had to work around that. Really great pattern for someone with know clothing experience but knows their machine well. I did the pants in double gauze and used my regular machine to “serge” and without a real serger, they are fraying bad. I’ll roll the raw edge all the way under and finish next time.
Struggled with the neck a little bit it turned out just fine. I used brushed cotton for the top.

This is a really cute, easy to sew pattern. It has clear instructions and the fit is perfect. I would definitely advise using rib knit for neck and cuffs, as is suggested, or be sure your fabric has lots of stretch if you don’t have rib
knit.

I haven't made the dress yet, but the options are great: long sleeves, short sleeves. I've read the instructions, and it's already fantastic! I already have the construction in mind, as usual. Clear instructions and a great result!! I recommend it even to beginners; with a little patience, it's doable!

This is my first time buying DearBilly pattern and I’m so glad I bought it ! It was oh so easy to sew ! English is not my first language, but the drawings next to the instructions were really helpful. I bought the romper pattern but decided to cut it shorter to make a hoodie and it worked great ! It was so simple, I was really proud of myself, people didn’t believe it was made by me. I then made a jumper version and it was easy as well. I could not enough recommend it !

Love this pattern! I’ll definitely be using it again and again. I originally purchased it to make my son’s DIY Halloween costume (a Niffler) and wasn’t sure how it would handle faux fur—especially since I’m a very beginner-level sewer. But let me tell you, I’m so glad I chose this one!

The instructions were clear and easy to follow, which made the whole process surprisingly smooth. The pattern photos showed it made with a thicker boucle-style fabric, so I figured the fit would be a little looser and give the costume some nice structure. Since my fur was bulky, I cut everything slightly larger to allow extra seam allowance, and that worked perfectly.

I made a few small edits to customize it for the Niffler. Larger Hood, added tail, changed pocket opening. (Also made pants)

This dress has been fairly easy to piece and assemble and the instructions have a photo for each step! Cutting the fabric by far is the most time consuming part of this pattern. I am making a second so both of my children can have one. The sizes do seem large (US based) but I haven’t gotten to try it on them yet. They are young so the dress will last a while if it is a bit large, but it also looks like it’s meant to have an oversized fit! Can’t wait to see my daughters’ faces when they see them 🙂

This pattern is really cute and turned out well. I consider myself a confident beginner at sewing but I do not think this pattern is necessarily beginner friendly. Many of the steps I had to modify because the instructions just were not clear enough. For example, I particularly struggled with the bias binding for the neck as the instructions and pictures were lacking to me.

The pictures in the instructions were so helpful! I’m a super visual learner and prefer video tutorials with patterns, but this was perfect! I think it was the perfect pattern to wean myself off of video tutorials! lol!

Easy to follow instructions. I used ½" elastic instead of ¼" and added pockets (because every little girl deserves pockets). Two pieces of constructive criticism: (1) It would be vastly easier if you included pattern pieces numbers in the instructions so I didn't have to keep looking back. (2) I would have loved if you had included a cutting layout of the pattern so I wouldn't have wasted fabric and consequently need to go back to the store for more.

Wonderful dress pattern. I would consider this to be a beginner friendly pattern. The instructions were very clear and have a lot of visual depictions of the steps. My favorite part of the pattern is that the back opening is shaped like a U instead of a V (like most Children’s Corner patterns) which made for an easier sew and nicer finish. It was a joy to sew this dress! It fit perfectly and true to size for my 3 year old.
